This page explains what information Step Cal uses, including your daily step goal setting, and how privacy is handled for the iPhone app.

Policy
Step Cal uses step count and related activity information only when you choose to make it available through Apple Health. The app may also use settings you enter in the app, such as your daily step goal, to show progress and streaks.
Apple Health data is used to show step progress, goal completion, streaks, and calorie estimates. Step Cal does not sell Health data and does not use Health data for advertising.
Step Cal does not include third-party advertising and does not use Apple Health data for cross-app or cross-site advertising.
Step Cal does not share personal information with data brokers. Information may be shared only when required by law or when needed to operate app functionality you request.
Data controlled by Apple Health remains subject to your Apple Health settings. You can remove Step Cal permissions in iOS Settings or the Health app at any time.
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
